We look forward to seeing you in the tournament!
Guidelines!
Only single 1-1 matches can be recorded for the win. Remember the first one to hit 11 points wins the round.
You can of course play friendly / warm up session before the official match
First player who scores 11 points wins the game; the first player who wins the 1st of the āofficial gameā wins.
Always be encouraging, welcoming and prioritize fun over winning!
Start of play
The winner of a coin toss can choose who serves first OR which end of the table to start the match on. The other player gets to decide on the remaining option.
Players are to rotate sides after each game
Serves
A legal serve is one that lands on the opponent's side without touching the net.
If on a serve the ball touches new and does not go over, a point will be given to the opponent.
If on a serve the ball touches the bet and goes over, it is considered a let and must be replayed. If a let happens on the 2nd serve , the point goes to the opponent
Scoring
If a player completes a serve, and successfully returns the opponentās ball so that it lands on the opponent's side, they win the point, otherwise, the receiver wins the point.
* A player loses a point if they:
* Fails to make a good serve (i.e. throwing the ball in the air and failing to hit the ball or failing to hit the ball onto the opponentās side of the table)
* Allows the ball to bounce twice on their side of the table
* Does not hit the ball after it has bounced on their side of the table
* Does not hit the ball onto their opponentās side of the table
* Hits the ball twice in succession (i.e. a double hit)
If thereās someone or something obstructing a successful return, the point is replayed, even if it lands on the opponent's side of the table.
