An Asian/Pacific American figure more people should know about and their notable contributions?

MC Jin exposes a lot of Asian Americans to hip-hop culture through his rap battles on BET 106 & Park.

Favorite cultural tradition?

Going to FDR Park in South Philadelphia and exploring the Southeast Asian street vendors every summer.

On making the Asian identity his own?

Openness to the different ethnic backgrounds, languages, and religions within the Asian communities. Exploring Japanese zenness to Chinese Feng Shui and buddhism way of life. Enjoying food from different regions such as Malaysia, Philippines, and South Korea. Listening to C-pop, K-pop, and Cambodian music. Reading manga and watching anime, Hong Kong movies, and Korean Drama. Seeing how the AZN Pride and import tuning car culture influenced who I am today.

On other identities, he holds dear, beyond your Asian heritage,

Breaking out of the typical Asian stereotypes. Not all of us are book smart and good at math. I personally enjoy playing sports such as basketball, football, and tennis as well as the hip-hop culture. Being a part of the online gaming communities was a part of my life growing up.
