This past week, GumGum teamed up with our Black Employees Together (BET) employee resource group for a heartwarming initiative in honor of National Adoption Day. We rolled up our sleeves and assembled care kits for local foster youth in both the Los Angeles and New York City areas.
These kits were packed with goodies to help make the transition for these kids a little easier, including:
Essential hygiene items
Cold-weather outerwear
Backpacks:
Coloring/activity books
What is National Adoption Day?
National Adoption Day is a collective effort to raise awareness about the thousands of children in foster care waiting for their forever families. It's a day to celebrate adoptive families and encourage others to consider opening their hearts and homes. Held annually on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, this year it falls on November 23rd.
We're so grateful to the GumGum team for coming together to support this important cause. A small gesture can make a big difference in the lives of these deserving children. Special thanks to Nanite Rogers and the BET ERG for bringing this cause to our attention and sponsoring the purchase of the backpacks.
