Since this is absolutely not an easy question, rather than committing to a favorite memory, I'll divulge one that sticks out as one of my most memorable (and cherished!) experiences. I was only a couple months into working at GumGum as an Ad Operations Specialist when at the end of one day, I realized I had set something up incorrectly that had been running for days, broken. I immediately started to well up, tears began leaking, and I was in full panic mode. But when the senior members and leadership around me noticed, without skipping a beat, they rallied around me to help fix the problem and calm my nerves. The first reaction wasn't to go in on what I had done wrong, it was to make sure I was okay and knew that we could handle whatever the issue was together as a team - even an executive stayed after hours to help fix my mistake without so much as batting an eye. If that doesn't shine a spotlight on what our culture is here, I don't know what does!
Which of GumGum's values (thoughtful, agility, grit) resonates with you the most and why?
Agility, without a doubt. It's one of the reasons (if not the biggest reason!) why I'm obsessed with working at GumGum and have been lucky enough to have stayed here so long. We're always changing and moving so quickly that the day-to-day never feels redundant or repetitive. There's always something new happening in the industry or internally that we're adapting to and what's happening now won't be the same even a month from now - you never know what's lurking around the corner. :)
