Walk & Talk Slack Challenge, April 3rd - April 7th
The International Day of Walking is an international observance day which encourages people to walk for their health, their environment, and their communities. It is celebrated on the first Wednesday of April every year, with activities and initiatives taking place around the world. The day aims to raise awareness of the health benefits of walking and to promote walking as a simple and accessible form of physical activity. Walking is a low-cost, low-impact exercise that can be done alone or in groups, and it is one of the world's most popular forms of physical activity. People of all ages and abilities can take part in International Day of Walking activities, including walking events, walking tours, walks in nature, and more.
How to take part in the Walk & Talk
Put on your walking shoes and simply swap one meeting out for a walking meeting. Take a picture of your walking-talking meeting (either in person or virtually) and submit it to the General Slack Channel.
Schedule a virtual meeting while walking. Take a picture or screenshot of yourself walking in the lovely outdoors whilst in a meeting and submit it to the General Slack Channel
Be mindful to ask/advise well ahead of time that you will be walking. The person/people on the other end don't have to, it's their choice. HOWEVER, only individuals who are walking will get entered into the raffle.
Comfortable headphones are a must, video is key for the screenshot! Walking and talking can be distracting so know your surroundings.
The Slack Challenge will run between April 3rd and April 7th. Any entries before or after will not be counted.
