Get to know Sheena Deans, Our New People Experience & Engagement Associate 🎉

Allow me to re-introduce myself…

Hi GumGummers, I’m Sheena Deans, your new People Experience and Engagement Associate! You may or may not have seen my name and avi popping up on slack, in the past 8 days, but consider this my official introduction. I recently joined the team on August 31st and have already felt so welcomed! 

A little about myself:

I’m an East Coaster at heart, but I’ve been an Angeleno for seven years and counting. I have 10+years of experience in HR and People Operations and my last role as a People Programs Manager focused heavily on people experience programs and DEI. As a creative, I love finding ways to incorporate my passion for content creation, event planning, and creative writing in everything that I do! I look forward to bringing all of that creativity to my role as the People Experience & Engagement Associate and creating new memories with the GumGum team!

I’d also like to send a special shout out to Vanessa Rivero, who has done an amazing job at cultivating employee experience and culture, especially in a remote environment! I’ve got big shoes to fill, but I’m excited to take the baton as she goes on to focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion!
