GumGum Celebrates Black History Month

Today is the first day of Black History Month (US) and the beginning of a month-long celebration of the perseverance, triumphs, and impact of the African-American community, past and present. Throughout the month, the BET ERG will recognize and spotlight influential change-makers within our community, curate necessary conversations concerning the Advertising industry, and celebrate Black History with GumGummers across the globe!

2024 Black History Month Theme

The Black History Month 2024 theme, “African Americans and the Arts,” explores the key influence African Americans have had in the fields of "visual and performing arts, literature, fashion, folklore, language, film, music, architecture, culinary and other forms of cultural expression."

Today, to kick off our celebration, the BET ERG (in collaboration with Weve) hosted a Black Excellence Trivia game where the winners won $50 vouchers to support Black-Owned Businesses.
