Eid is an Arabic word meaning "celebration". It is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims around the world, usually marked by two days of communal prayer, feasting and gift-giving. Eid also marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

3. During Ramadan, Muslims observe a period of fasting (sawm) from sunrise to sunset.
