Spending three days at the Dude Ranch in Wyoming in 2015 for an all-hands event with the GumGum team was an unforgettable experience that truly embodied the essence of camaraderie and team spirit. Joining colleagues from around the world, I had the incredible opportunity to meet and connect with individuals who shared the same passion and dedication. Whether it was square dancing and do-si-doing with my CTO Ken Weiner, or wrangling cattle on the side of my CEO Phil Schraeder, or simply sharing stories around the campfire, those four days were filled with laughter, adventure, and a sense of unity that strengthened our collective resolve as a team. It was a time when differences melted away, and we were reminded of the power of collaboration and shared goals. This cherished memory encapsulates the heart and soul of GumGum, reminding us of the importance of coming together, no matter the distance, to celebrate our successes and forge lasting friendships.

Grit is the value that resonates the most with me, especially considering the dynamism and passion I bring to teaching the team. As a Senior Engineering Manager, I believe in embodying resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Grit isn't just about pushing through challenges; it's about maintaining relentless perseverance even in the face of adversity. In my role, I thrive on guiding my team through complex technical hurdles, instilling a sense of purpose and drive, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
